Prescott House Museum Weddings at Acacia Grove: A Brief History Exhibit Opening: Sunday July 21, 2019 2:00 pm Exhibit runs from July 21, 2019 to August 30, 2019 Prescott House Museum (Acacia Grove) has been the site for weddings, past, present, and future. To celebrate this rite of passage, our exhibit “Weddings at Acacia Grove: A Brief History” highlights weddings and photos that have occurred at the house and museum, including a history of traditions, legalities and period wedding dresses, from the past 200 years. Join Dr Todd Smith of Acadia University Science Department for a fun filled afternoon exploring the ground of Prescott House to learn all about ants, beetles, earwigs and other creeping critters! Prescott Pirates: Children's Workshop* Thursday August 22nd 10:00 am to 12:00 pm (rain date Friday August 23rd) Travel back to the days of the early pirates and privateers with us here at Prescott House Museum. Take part in pirate related crafts, games, and even a treasure hunt with treats afterwards. Learn about pirates, and enjoy the morning playing like one! Romancing the Writer Saturday August 24th 10:00 am to 3:00 pm Our very popular writer’s workshop is returning once again! Donna Alward and Michelle Helliwell both published authors, will share their experiences and expertise in the art of writing. This workshop is great for anyone wanting to get inspired, hone their skills and discuss the tools of the trade with their peers.
